Reparex / FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Practical answers about the product, application, results and everyday care.

How Reparex works

Is Reparex a conventional hair dye?

No. Reparex is a clear cosmetic solution for a gradual care ritual, rather than a one-off coating of the hair with colour.

Why does hair turn grey?

Melanin gives hair its colour. As melanin production declines with age, hair loses pigment and appears grey or white.

Which ingredients are listed in the product?

The product information lists G-Reductase, silver acetate and water, with glycerin contributing to moisturising care. Always follow the current ingredients list and instructions on your packaging.

Use and application

Should I apply Reparex to wet or dry hair?

Apply to dry hair and the skin at the roots, following your variant’s leaflet. Wait around 3–4 minutes, use a hairdryer as directed and do not rinse immediately.

How much solution should I use?

Use only a small amount on grey areas. Applying too much may cause an unwanted reddish tone.

Do I need to use a hairdryer?

Yes, the product instructions recommend a hairdryer after application. Follow the leaflet for your chosen variant.

How can I apply the solution?

The application method depends on the area treated. Follow the leaflet, apply carefully near the skin and prevent the solution from running.

Results

How often should I use Reparex?

The hair-care instructions describe daily application for the first 7–10 days. Once you are happy with the shade, maintenance is usually 2–3 times a week. Follow your product leaflet.

What happens if I stop using it?

Grey areas may gradually become visible again. The timing varies from person to person; results are not permanent.

How long does one bottle last?

It depends on hair length and density, the size of the treated area, the amount used and the length of the initial routine.

Hair colouring

Can I combine Reparex with hair dye?

Use Reparex only on undyed hair. Do not combine it with hair dyes. Check the current leaflet for the required interval after colouring.

Can I apply it only at the roots?

Use targeted application on grey areas near the roots, as described in your product leaflet.

Safe handling

Can Reparex leave stains?

Yes. Wear gloves and protect clothing, towels and surfaces. Deal with any drops immediately according to the leaflet.

Why might a reddish tone appear?

Using too much solution may cause an unwanted reddish tone. Use the small amount indicated for the treated area and spread it evenly.

Men, women and facial hair

Why are there three variants?

Men’s hair, women’s hair and facial hair have different characteristics. Dedicated variants are available for each area.

Can I use a hair variant on my beard?

For a beard and moustache, choose Reparex for Beard & Moustache, which is intended for that area.

Hair care

Can I wash my hair after applying it?

Do not wash immediately afterwards. Wait 3–4 minutes and dry as directed; schedule normal washing for later.

Do I need to apply it over all my hair?

No. Apply carefully to the grey areas indicated in the instructions. This avoids unnecessary use and reduces the risk of drips.
